What to Expect in Texas Family Law Court:   This handout is intended to help you understand what you can expect when you have a case in Texas family law court.

Kids in the Crossfire is a short video designed to emphasize the impact of parents’ behavior during divorce. Through dramatizations and interviews with children, parents, judges, and counselors who have been impacted by divorce or work in the family law field, the video gives parents a road map of behaviors to avoid and suggestions for improving communication and minimizing stress on children.

American Bar Association Commission on Domestic Violence "Safety Tips for You and Your Family," a brochure printed in six different languages, is available for download, or as a hard copy.

Healing the Wounds:  Navigating the Legal System after Surviving Domestic Violence     This video is intended to help domestic violence survivors learn what to expect when using the court system to obtain a protective order, a temporary restraining order, or a divorce.  Available in both English and Spanish, Healing the Wounds tells the story of "Melinda"  as a way of demonstrating what types of assistance the legal system can offer victims of domoestic violence.

Safe Haven of Tarrant County.  SafeHaven of Tarrant County’s mission is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention and social change.

Internal Revenue Service Publication 1819 Divorce -An IRS Perspective The official publication for federal tax laws and divorce.

CASA of Tarrant County. Child advocates assists the family court system by providing trained, court-appointed volunteers who advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children by making recommendations for safe and permanent homes.

The Parenting Center, Fort Worth Texas The Parenting Center provides family life education classes, counseling, in home case management, and co-parenting services.

Texas Attorney General Child Support Division As the official child support enforcement agency for the State of Texas, the Office of the Attorney General provides services for parents who wish to obtain or provide support for their children.

The Women's Center of Tarrant County This organization provides rape crisis and victim services, employment solutions for men and women, and counseling services for families
